AC Series Resistor Circuit

When a circuit consists entirely of resistors (no inductors, capacitors, or semiconductors), everything you've learned about DC is also true for AC.
  1. Set the voltmeter to AC, and measure the voltage the signal generator is putting out while it is connected to the circuit shown above.
  2. Adjust this voltage to 6 V.
  3. Measure the voltage across each 1 k resistor.
  4. Change the signal generator's frequency to 200 Hz.
  5. Repeat steps 2 through 4.
 
60 Hz:
V1 = ________________________     V2 = _____________________

200 Hz
V1 = ________________________     V2 = _____________________

Notice that the frequency has no effect on the voltages you get.
