- Go to the PIC Programmer page
- Click the bill of materials link.
- Save a copy of the bill of materials in your folder (even though you haven't done anything yet).
- At first, the computer will ask for a password (because it thinks you're trying to save the file on the Web server).
- Click Cancel, and then save the file in your folder.
- In the cell C8, notice that there's a 12 written. This is the number of boards we're going to order parts for.
- Open another Internet browser window, and go to jameco.com.
- Depending
on how your computer is set up, clicking on the Jameco link above may
either open up a new browser window, or it may put Jameco's Web page
where the programmer page was.
- If the latter happens, click the
back button (arrow) to get back to the programmer page. Then, open a
new browser window and type jameco.com into the address box.
- For each part where Jameco is listed as the vendor, bring up a window with information about the part.
- Based on price breaks and minimum quantities, decide how many parts (or packages) to order and put this number in the Qty. to order cell for the part.
- In the Price each column, fill in the price.
- Save the file again in your folder.
- Print out a copy of the file, and give it to me for checking.
- On the PIC Programmer page, click the Purchase requisition form link.
- Based on the information you've collected on the bill of materials spreadsheet, fill out the purchase requisition.
- Save the purchase requisition in your folder.
- Print out the purchase requisition and give it to me.
